The Schooling Involved: To earn an accounting degree you must go through the full four years of schooling. However, to become a Certified Public Accountant you must past the CPA exam and complete one more year of schooling. An accounting degree is just a degree to do the work a CPA does, but actually having a CPA certification allows you to answer what is right or wrong when doing work.
